I have joined the blogging world!
I know everyone and their mother has a blog so I figured I would jump on the bandwagon. With our recent engagement, I want to take full advantage of this time!
It seems like I've waited forever to get engaged! I know I started talking about it over a year ago. I would say things to Matt thinking that it would make him more eager to propose. WRONG! He was so annoyed that I talked about it so much.
Finally, on December 28, 2010 I came home from work to find Matt in the kitchen making dinner, the fireplace lit (in 70 degree weather), and candles lit all over the apartment. I sat down at the kitchen table and we talked while he cooked. I went to the restroom and got a load of laundry. He came around the corner and asked me to go back to the kitchen table. I looked over at the table a saw a white ring box sitting on my place setting!! I started hugging him and asking him, "what are you doing??" over and over again. We walked over to the table and I sat down. I opened the box and he took the ring out, got down on one knee, and said, "will you?". Over lots of joyful tears I was able to slip out a small, "yes!"
